Cadet Squadron 273 celebrated 10 years of residency at Fishers Green Sailing Club this weekend. Past and present members gathered together on Saturday for a whole day and night of events, including sailing,
outdoor games, reminiscing about the last decade and enjoying a BBQ fit for a king!
One of the highlights of the day was the ex-Cadet race and the participants will never, ever, forget the day that they beat the current 420 European Champion, Sam B, in the race!
Over 30 people camped over and the evening party was something that we won't forget for a long time, assuming that everyone was able to remember it in the morning...
Mark Ingall, Cadet Squadron Captain, entertained everyone with a medley of punk songs and contemporary indie style music - an eclectic mix indeed!
But the girls were not to be beaten and Deb, Julie and Trudi belted out a rendition of Lilly Allen's song 'It's not fair'.
On the Sunday, Jane and her team cooked up a full English breakfast and then many of us raced in our annual RNLI pursuit race. Well done to the winners of the race, but particularly well done to the Cadets who battled it out at the front of the pack.
