It's easier for David if users agree what they want.
So right up there with truthful politicians and no taxes. Seriously, I hated 'nickel and dime' changes, most of which never got used and anyway got reversed at the next meeting. So we can at least try.

David suggested we (those with preferences, pretty much a self chosen group - if you're reading this, you're it - should feed a consensus wish list to him on Sundays.

Here's what I suggest
Someone (anyone) floats an issue AND intended solution BEFORE.Sunday.
We brainstorm it with better solutions, not criticism of original solutions, before feeding them to David.

Here's my starter for 10
I couldn't unsubscribe from the auto generated notification of a new post.
There were no unsubscribe buttons top or bottom of the notification, only a line saying there are. (Demon/Thus + Apple Mail)
I couldn't find a way to suppress them at source, e.g in my profile settings.

A fair number of posts are one liner responses to a previous post. In context they make sense (and some are quite funny) but out of context they'll become annoying.

For this to work we need to avoid the classic eMail trap, of leaping off subject and generating red herrings not consensus.

Your wish is my command - sequence now most recent first - I hope.

For those struggling with avatars the max file size is currently set to 2048 kb. One of the price parameters for the web is disc space so unless anyone has a real issue with this I will leave the limit in place.

I agree with Bill. Newest first if possible.

I prefer newest messages first in any thread.
Is there a way to do this, either user by user or, if that's the consensus, as the default?

I am having a problem uploading an avatar image. Could it be a picture file size limit coming into play?

Ctrl/R is a Windows short cut that refreshes the screen - ie it will erase anything you have typed but not entered (carriage return in old fart speak). As far as I am aware this applies to any other web page that you happen to visit. Please also note Ctrl/F5 works in the same way.

Next time you have a sleepless night, there are one or two other shortcuts/functions that will send you stright back to sleep at:
